Gary Peet was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on July 11,
1950, but raised in his mother’s hometown of Stone Mountain, Georgia, where the
family settled in 1953. His father was
John J. Peet, 1918-1993. His mother was
Peggie Tucker Peet, 1923-2004. His
immediate family includes two older brothers, John H. Peet and C. Ronald Peet,
and two nieces, Kim Durgan and Elizabeth Peet.
