Biography

Missy Munoz is a LEED accredited Architect with a Masters of Sustainable Business Management.  



Now working as a corporate sustainability strategist she has over 15 years of combinedleadership and project management experience with a focus on green and sustainable architectural design and community engagement programming.  



In the Atlanta area she has worked with small and medium sized business owners to identifysustainable business strategies and relevant environmental sustainability opportunities in an effort to develop strategic long-term social responsibility initiatives and policies.  Additionally,she has worked with local race directors and special event directors to develop sustainability event plans and strategic stakeholder engagements.  



As part of a team, Missy has helped to build the Waste Management Phoenix Open GolfTournament into an award winning showcase event dubbed the “Greenest Show on Grass.”  The golf tournament is the largest PGA event with over 150,000 attendees. For the second year running the event was Zero Waste, utilized solar power, continued to decrease its greenhouse gas emissions, and recycled much of its own water onsite.  Currently she is engaged with the Atlanta Falcons and the architectural design team consulting on stadium design layout, and thedevelopment of comprehensive sustainability initiatives for the new stadium.  

 



Areas of expertise include:



Greenhouse Gas Quantification, Corporate Reporting in a Global Reporting Initiative format,comprehensive LEED project management, Carbon Disclosure Project Reporting, management of Council for Responsible Sport Certifications, Zero Waste Validation reporting, and thedevelopment and implementation of Environmental Social and Governance engagementprograms, initiatives, policies and training programs.
