Biography |
I am a certified BSA merit badge counselor for family life, genealogy, entrepreneurship, public speaking, collections, and journalism (June 21, 2015) with the Sweetwater District in Northeast Georgia, with training completed on July 16, 2015. I am also a certified counselor for the three citizenship badges, insect study, personal management, reading, scholarship, and weather (November 27, 2015). Additionally, I am certified to teach plant science, mammal study, nature, gardening, pets, dog care, sports, and music (May 18, 2016); and public health (July 2016). I am further certified as a BSA religious emblems counselor (July 13, 2015), and served as troop cocoordinator in 2015-2016. My Youth Protection Training is current as of July 29, 2016. I've taught at the Sweetwater District Advance-a-Rama and the Northeast Georgia Council Hornaday Weekends. I have two years of experience as a Cub Scout den leader (Wolf and Webelos) in Snellville, and I led a den for one week at Cub Scout summer day camp (Wolf) in Loganville. I was also a Cub Scout adult volunteer for day camp in Lilburn during summer 2016. As a girl, I was a very active Girl Scout for two years. Most of my professional experience is as a certified social studies and science teacher (nearly 20 years), and currently, in mental health, also owning my own business. I am very well-rounded, enjoy working with kids, and am a positive role model. Boys should attend my workshops being prepared to work and learn, while also having an enjoyable experience. |
