Biography |
BIOGRAPHY: Steve Kollross is a lifelong golfer and golf enthusiast. He has played competitive golf at the High School and recreational levels. During his first career, Steve was a Physical Education Teacher at the University of Chicago Laboratory School, teaching life sports, including golf. For the past 20 years Steve has pursued an interest in the history of golf and the process of clubmaking (circa 1850). He has been active in the National Golf Collector's Association and has become a capable golf club maker. Steve's interest in golf has included trips to Scotland with visits to St.Andrews, Carnoustie, and Gullane that have included visits to some of Scotland's last remaining clubmaker shops. Steve also comes from a family of golf enthusiasts as one of his brothers manages a golf shop while another owns a golf marketing company and teaches golf marketing at the college level.

Each scout needs to read the Golf Merit Badge book prior to coming to the Merit Badge University.
