Welcome to Environmental Science. This clinic was designed so that if you do the prerequisite tasks you will leave with an Eagle Required Merit Badge completed.
If this is your goal then please come and enjoy learning about environmental science.
Be sure to obtain the Merit Badge Book on Environmental Science and bring with you to class.
PRE-REQUISTES:
1 – Make a timeline. This will indicate you purchased the book and opened it.
2 – Define the terms. This will demonstrate your willingness to earn the merit badge.
6 - Find out about three different careers in Environmental Science. Write your report
CLASS DAY REQUIREMENTS:
Please make sure you bring paper and pen or pencil to class.
You will be writing reports in class.
During class we will do the following
3a – Conduct an experiment on global warming
3b – Perform an experiment to test for particulates that contribute to air pollution.
3c – Conduct an experiment to show methods to reduce the affects of water
pollution on waterfowl.
3d – Conduct an experiment to show the affects of erosion.
3e – Discuss threatened and endangered species.
3f – Perform an experiment on biodegradable packing materials.
4 – Study an outdoor area and the species found there.
5 – Prepare an environmental impact statement for a hypothetical construction
project
This will be a full class period and the goal is to complete all of the requirements we can in class. I will need your help. You bring what you are supposed to bring and pay attention and we will have a great time and you will earn one of your Eagle Required Merit Badge.
