BIO: I joined the Air Fprce and completed pilot training in 1975. I flew the C-141 transport for over 20 years both on active duty and with the Reserves. In 1981, I was hired by Delta Airlines and flew numverous aircraft during my career. Currently, I am retired and am very active in the Boy Scouts and several other volunteer activities.
MERIT BADGES: I teach Citizenship in the Nation, Personal Management, Aviation and American Heritage MBs. See below:
Citizenship in the Nation: Read the latest version of the Citizenship in the Nation merit badge book prior to class and bring a copy of the worksheet with you. Complete requirements #2, #3. For requirement #8, bring a copy of your letter of a national issue and the reply to class. Regarding requirement #4, I have numerous questions about which I will expect you to be knowledgeable in order to complete this Eagle required merit badge. If you come prepared and participate in class, we will all have a great time and will be able to sign those all important Blue Cards.
Personal Management: Please read the Personal Management merit badge book prior to class as this will greatly aid our discussion and your understanding of the material. The emphasis in class will be to cover requirements 3 - 7. As time permits, we will look at the other 5 requirements and I always try to allow time to individually review the those 5 requirements with individual scouts.
American Heritage: Please read the American Heritage merit badge. This is important to our classroom discussion and will make the class more enjoyable for everyone. Do reqiurements 2a. and 3c. at home and remember to bring your notes to class. We should complete all the requirements during class so I can sign your class blue cards before you leave.
