Please Note update in prerequisites from prior year.   Also note that participants should come prepared to make the five minute speech for Req. 3.  During class, we will discuss communications techniques and you will have a little time to make modifications, but not enough time to prepare the speech.

To validate completion of MB requirements not being completed at MBU (i.e. the prerequisites), participants MUST bring either a partially approved blue card for Communications or actual documentation from those requirements.  For example, if the participant conducted a court of honor ceremony for Req. 8, then he should bring the script for that ceremony and something from his Scoutmaster/Leader validating completion and the date.

Also please be sure that your documentation fulfills the requirement.  Often scouts confuse Communications Req. 5 (which involves attending a public meeting and more importantly, preparing a written report to review) with Citizenship in the Community Req. 3 (which does not require a written report).  You must bring your written report to document completion of Communications Req. 5.
