Adults must enter their BSA Number, DOB, First and Last name as it appears on their BSA ID card. We will query BSA and get back an answer. At this point one of three things can happen:
1) Your registration is verified - you can continue using Meritbadge.info normally
2) You are not registered or your registration has lapsed - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
3) You are registered but your YPT has expired - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
You have had at least two months to get yourself registered and complete YPT training. If you feel your validation is not working, send us an email with the four data items listed and we will validate your entry.
We have no control over what is on file at BSA. If everything matches your BSA ID card, there should be no issues. If not, your validation will fail.
Why are we doing this?
1. To provide higher security and validation of all adult users.
2. To clean up the mess we've accumulated via 15 years of poor user data entry.

Login to https://my.scouting.org/ and copy your BSA ID Number then update your profile on Meritbadge.info. Let others in your unit know they should do the same. We are giving you 2.5 months advanced notice to make this work.

Description |
Merit Badge sessions are either AM, PM, or All Day. A Scout can register for AM and/or PM sessions. Cost is $6 per merit badge session, and some classes have additional fees (collected in the classroom).

Important Dates: January 28 - Online Registration Opens for Gamehaven Council Units February 7 - Online Registration Opens for Out-of-Council Units February 27 - Online Registration Closes March 14 - Classes with open seats, and no prerequisites, will be available for on-site registration at Lourdes High School on the day of the Merit Badge Fair, for a fee of $10 per seat.

Registration Instructions: The matrix of available classes can be downloaded to assist Scouts in choosing classes.
At least one unit leader must sign up for an account with http://meritbadge.info to register for the Merit Badge Fair. At least one unit leader must also attend the Merit Badge Fair. The email addresses provided will be the primary point of contact between the Merit Badge Fair staff and the unit.
Once online registration opens, one of the leaders must enter a class registration for each Scout. Any unit leader can enter or modify registrations. Payments must be made at the Council office to hold the registrations. If you have any problems with registration, send email to mailto:mbfair@mb.gamehavenbsa.org
Each Merit Badge class has an information packet, available at http://www.gamehavenbsa.org/Pre-RequisiteandMeritBadgeWorksheetDocumentation1.htm. Each Scout should get a copy of the packet for their class(es), and follow the instructions, completing the prerequisites prior to the Merit Badge Fair.
Event Day: On the day of the Merit Badge Fair, the unit leader(s) will be given a packet containing class tickets and merit badges for their Scouts. The unit leader will be responsible for distributing tickets to the Scouts, and helping them find their classes.

Payment Instructions for the Unit |
There is no "Event Fee," but each merit badge class costs $6. ($10 the day of the event.) A few classes have extra fees, collected in the classroom.
Payments should be made for the entire Unit. Payments must be made within three business days of registration, or reserved seats may be released for other units. Pay by check or Unit Ac count at the Gamehaven Council Office at 1124 11 1/2 Street SE, Rochester, MN 55904.
Refunds will be given for registrations canceled in the online system prior to February 27. Refunds will be mailed to the unit leaders after the Merit Badge Fair. No refunds will be given for no-shows.
An additional fee will be collected in the classroom of these merit badges, for supplies and materials: Art - $10, Chemistry - $2, Coin Collecting - optional $1 for coins, Railroading - $10 for kit. |
Directions to the Event |
The Merit Badge Fair will be held at Lourdes High School, 621 W. Center St. in Rochester, MN. Parking is available in the lot on the North side of the school, and on nearby streets.
Astronomy will be at the Mayo High School Planetarium with standard classroom times. Transportation between Mayo High School and Lourdes High School will be provided free of charge.
Auto Mechanics will be at Virgil's Auto Clinic and Towing with standard classroom times. Transportation between Virgil's and Lourdes High School will be provided free of charge. |
