If you are having trouble registering scouts, carefully read the information on the help tab.
If you send an email that does not include the information we need to help you, it wastes time and will get promptly deleted.
Test drive the new site (in progress) at New Meritbadge.Info.Leave comments at our Facebook page.

Notice!!! Meritbadge.Info will switch to the new site with BSA validation Friday morning March 13th.

If you wish to start using this site today, click here to launch meritbadge.info/mbn2

Adults must enter their BSA Number, DOB, First and Last name as it appears on their BSA ID card. We will query BSA and get back an answer. At this point one of three things can happen:
1) Your registration is verified - you can continue using Meritbadge.info normally
2) You are not registered or your registration has lapsed - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
3) You are registered but your YPT has expired - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login

You have had at least two months to get yourself registered and complete YPT training. If you feel your validation is not working, send us an email with the four data items listed and we will validate your entry.

We have no control over what is on file at BSA. If everything matches your BSA ID card, there should be no issues. If not, your validation will fail.

Why are we doing this?
1. To provide higher security and validation of all adult users.
2. To clean up the mess we've accumulated via 15 years of poor user data entry.

How will we do this?

What should you do?
Login to https://my.scouting.org/ and copy your BSA ID Number then update your profile on Meritbadge.info.  Let others in your unit know they should do the same.  We are giving you 2.5 months advanced notice to make this work.

They will discuss the national issues they learned about with their counselor. They will also choose one of the issues and explain how it affects them and their families.  Also, the Scout should research ahead of time for a historical/national landmark that they had visited in the past and bring that information in to share with the other Scouts.  (http://www.scouting.org/filestore/Merit_Badge_ReqandRes/Citizenship_in_the_Nation.pdf)

Directions to the Event

Directions to the Event

Many thanks to Michigan Tech for the following driving instructions from their website:

From the East

Navigate your way toward Marquette. We suggest following US-2 west along the north shore of Lake Michigan, turning right on M-77, and heading north to M-28. At M-28 turn left and head west to Marquette. Once in Marquette (or if starting in Marquette):

  1. Follow the roundabout to the left as M-28 becomes US-41.

  2. Follow US-41 North to Houghton.

  3. US-41 becomes Townsend Drive.

  4. Turn left at the stop light at MacInnes Drive.

  5. Turn right on Seventh Ave.

  6. Turn left in the first parking lot.

From the South (Green Bay, Milwaukee, Chicago)

Travel north along the western shore of Lake Michigan. North of Green Bay, you’ll pick up US-141. From there:

  1. Follow US-141 to M-28 to US-41 North.

  2. US-41 becomes Townsend Drive.

  3. Turn left at the stop light at MacInnes Drive.

  4. Turn right on Seventh Ave.

  5. Turn left in the first parking lot.

From the Southwest (Northern and North Central Wisconsin)

From central Wisconsin, traveling through Eagle River is the easiest way to make it to campus. From Eagle River, head north on US-45 to M-26. Once in Houghton:

  1. Stay in the right lane and follow the signs for US-41 South.

  2. Follow US-41 until the beginning of campus.

  3. Turn right at the stop light at MacInnes Drive.

  4. Turn right on Seventh Ave.

  5. Turn left in the first parking lot.

  6.

From the West (Ontonagon, Ironwood, Minnesota)

The most direct route from Minnesota to Michigan Tech is through Duluth. Ironwood Scouts, pick it up from here:  Follow US-2 east to M-28 in Wakefield, Michigan. Continue east on M-28 to US-45. Turn left and head north to M-26. Ontonagon Scouts, follow M-38 and then take M-26 (do not follow M-38 by turning right towards Baraga).

  6.

Release Information
Scouts' names, ages and parents' or Scout's personal email addresses will be shared with the Merit Badge Counselors so they can properly prepare for Merit Badge Day.  The information will not be shared outside of this venue and with no other person or entity, and will be maintained with the blue cards for each Counselor.

Local news agencies (print and television) will be notified of merit badge day and they may be on site to take photos/videos of your Scouts.  Our host, Michigan Tech, may also take photos/videos.
