Adults must enter their BSA Number, DOB, First and Last name as it appears on their BSA ID card. We will query BSA and get back an answer. At this point one of three things can happen:
1) Your registration is verified - you can continue using Meritbadge.info normally
2) You are not registered or your registration has lapsed - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
3) You are registered but your YPT has expired - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login

You have had at least two months to get yourself registered and complete YPT training. If you feel your validation is not working, send us an email with the four data items listed and we will validate your entry.

We have no control over what is on file at BSA. If everything matches your BSA ID card, there should be no issues. If not, your validation will fail.

Why are we doing this?
1. To provide higher security and validation of all adult users.
2. To clean up the mess we've accumulated via 15 years of poor user data entry.  

How will we do this? 

What should you do? 
Login to https://my.scouting.org/ and copy your BSA ID Number then update your profile on Meritbadge.info.  Let others in your unit know they should do the same.  We are giving you 2.5 months advanced notice to make this work.

Long Hunter State Park is a readily assessable location from I-40 and I-24 on Percy Priest Lake just SE of Nashville and has a large, excellent group camp area with room for about 20 troops, a layout of which is attached that shows the large activity area in the middle of the group camp drive loop which now has a modest sized campfire amphitheater near the center.

Please let me know ASAP by next Tuesday August 19th, 2014 if your unit plans to come.   If so, you must also contact the park office directly to make your individual unit’s reservations and payment as the new TN Parks online system does not provide for the LHSP group camp.  There is a nominal unit/person cost per night of about $2.00 per person.  The LHSP group camp area has  a few common access water spigots but no other RV style water, sewer & electricity hook ups facilities.  There are restroom facilities in the adjacent ranger/headquarters building.  If we have a large enough participation we may need to make arrangements to bring in porta-potties to avoid long lines at the park facilities.
