Adults must enter their BSA Number, DOB, First and Last name as it appears on their BSA ID card. We will query BSA and get back an answer. At this point one of three things can happen:
1) Your registration is verified - you can continue using Meritbadge.info normally
2) You are not registered or your registration has lapsed - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
3) You are registered but your YPT has expired - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login

You have had at least two months to get yourself registered and complete YPT training. If you feel your validation is not working, send us an email with the four data items listed and we will validate your entry.

We have no control over what is on file at BSA. If everything matches your BSA ID card, there should be no issues. If not, your validation will fail.

Why are we doing this?
1. To provide higher security and validation of all adult users.
2. To clean up the mess we've accumulated via 15 years of poor user data entry.  

How will we do this? 

What should you do? 
Login to https://my.scouting.org/ and copy your BSA ID Number then update your profile on Meritbadge.info.  Let others in your unit know they should do the same.  We are giving you 2.5 months advanced notice to make this work.

Description

Uniform:  Class A



This event will cover all the requirements of the Textiles Merit Badge. There are no pre-req's for this event and the merit badge will be completed at this event.



In addition to the classroom component of this merit badge, we will take a tour of the farm as well as learn felting using the alpaca hair.



We will begin promptly at 10:00, so please plan on arriving at 9:45 to register. 



Siblings are invited to attend.  I have set up a separate registration for siblings.  They will do a different craft than being made for the merit badge.

Scout leaders should have the Blue cards completed before the event. Blue cards will be returned upon completion of the event.
Unit Sign-up Instructions

Pre-registration is REQUIRED.  Class size is limited.  No Walk-ups allowed. Anyone not on the registration roster will be turned away.

Parents and Scout leaders are welcome to attend. Any parent or adult scout leader will need to contact Mrs. Johnson.



In order to register for this class, you will need to register with the website then register for the event. Please include your contact information such as phone number and email address in case we need to contact the troop in case of changes.



YOU WILL NEED TO INCLUDE YOUR SCOUTS TROOP NUMBER DURING REGISTRATION. IF YOU FAIL TO INCLUDE THE TROOP NUMBER WHEN YOU REGISTER, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REGISTER SO PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
Payment Instructions for the Unit

Cost $18.  This is to be paid upon registering for the event.  Failure to pay by close of registration will result in scout being dropped from the event.

From I-64, turn onto I-295 SOUTH toward NORFOLK/WASHINGTON

From 295, Take exit #49/US-33 WEST toward MONTPELIER

Continue to follow US-33 WEST (Staples Mill Road) - go 12 miles

Continue Left at Valero on US-33 West - 2 miles, you’ll Go through Montpelier

At the Chiropractor building, Turn Right on BEAVER DAM RD (Route 715) - go 7 miles

Below are the directions to our farm from 95 North

From Fredericksburg go about 20 miles South on Interstate 95

Take the Ladysmith exit #110 (It's about 20 miles North of Ashland)

Turn Right onto LadySmith Road.. (You'll pass an Exxon on the left).

Continue on LadySmith Road 5.5 miles

Turn Left on Anderson Mill Road...(Just before the Caroline Supermarket)

Continue on Anderson Mill Road 5.8 miles...The road will end

Take a Right onto Beaverdam School Road (also route 739)

Continue on Beaverdam School Road 1.3 miles

Turn Left on to Beaver Dam Road just pass the Train Depot

Continue on Beaver Dam Road 1.9 miles

The front of our farm is wooded and about 100 yards from the road so you may not see it when you turn.

On each side of the driveway, where you turn in, there is a brown decorative fence made of landscape posts

about 2 feet high.
