Sponsor Information

SPACE JAM 16 (Aug. 6, 2022) is Scout weekend event open to other organizations like the Girl Scouts and Don Moyers Boys and Girls Club. We work on 30+ merit badges, including Robot construction, Aviation, Computers, and Space Exploration. Two Scout units, Troop 17 and Crew 272, provide the core of volunteers with the help of more than a hundred volunteers from other units. The action packed weekend at the Rantoul Airport that we rent for the event.  We just added Citizenship in Society!

Event Description

We invite you to go boldly where no troop has gone before, seek out new and high tech Merit Badges: Space Exploration, Aviation, Radio, and Electronics to name a few. Learn how to use a 3D printer or design a video game using Unity 3D. #SpaceJamSTEM is the scouting technology event of the year. You will want to get your registration in early. Tons of high tech merit badges, a high altitude balloon launch, live chess, underwater robotics, food vendors, camp sites, and more!
