Why I am qualified to teach Sustainability* |
In the summer of 2009, Scott's son Jon, also an Eagle
scout, changed his world view by exposing him to the many global
resource and environmental problems facing our planet. Since then,
Scott has been working to create a sustainability program for BSA. In
2012, he was asked by the President of BSA to build a team to create and
launch the new Eagle-required Sustainability Merit Badge at the 2013
National Jamboree held this year at the new Summit Bechtel Reserve.
Scott is now working to create a BSA national committee on
sustainability. |
