Please refer to the merit badge workbook(s) for prerequisites before the clinic.
Your safety is my first and highest priority.
Please present for welding and Farm Mechanics merit badges with the appropriate clothing. Scouts will not be turned away but without the proper safety precautions with regards to the required clothing, the merit badge cannot be completed.
Required clothing: (no synthetic materials)
Long (durable) pants, (denim or other less flammable pants are recommended)
Long-sleeve shirt
Durable shoes with socks
Lightweight leather gloves
Light cap is suggested
Z87.1 (ANSI Rating) eye protection (safety glasses)
I currently have on hand three welding hoods. If you have access to one, please bring it with you.
