Biography

David Jung is second-generation college student working towards a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Emory University Nell Hodgson School of Nursing. He is driven and committed to the advocacy of the nursing profession and academic success to students. David is serving under the Emory Student Nursing Association as the Breakthrough to Nursing Director (BTN). As BTN, David is working towards increasing awareness of the countless opportunities that exist in nursing and leaving a positive impact on the community through service.



Through the past years, his passion for nursing has been cultivated through his experiences as a student nurse, in which he has realized the significance of the nurse's roles as leaders in family and patient-teaching and advocates of holistic patient-care. David feels qualified to lead the scouts as demonstrated by his previous leadership roles and experiences. By gaining deep perspectives and knowledge in community and healthcare settings; he eagerly endeavors to share his insights, passions, and dreams. Besides being a student nurse, David is BCLS/CPR certified, bi-lingual in Korean and English, and a student ambassador of the Nell Hodgson School of Nursing at Emory University.


Why I am qualified to teach
First Aid*
I qualify for this badge as I am a nursing student of the Nell Hodgson School of Nursing at Emory. I am also a certified member of the cognitive and skills evaluation in accordance with the curriculum of the American Heart Assocation BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) Program.
Prerequisites for this Activity
READ FIRST AID MERIT BADGE BOOK and come prepared and on time.
- The boys will need to complete the first two pages of the first aid worksheet.

- The boys simply have to fill out the first two pages. The remaining requirements will be satisfied during the MB class. However, knowledge of the   entire booklet is strongly advised and recommended since we will be covering a lot of material. 
- Bring First Aid Kit, your counselor will check off the first aid kit during the clinic as a reinforcement to satisfy completion of the first aid badge.
