The schedule is set. Extra sessions of some classes may be added if needed.
Troop 347 from Port Republic, MD is hosting a Merit Badge Day at Huntingtown High School.
Most merit badges offered require 3.5 hours of class time to complete requirements and check completion of prerequisites. Each merit badge will last one session (with the exception of Emergency Preparedness and Law which are all day and Crime Prevention/Fingerprinting which are combined in one session) so the scouts may register for a morning badge and an afternoon badge.
The cost for the program is $35/day. A pizza lunch will be included for the scouts. Adult lunches can be purchased for $5.00/each. Please notify the event coordinators at registration desk if you would like to purchase a lunch.
All participants must be pre-registered. NO WALK-INS WILL BE ALLOWED.

For the safety and security of participants, scouts are not permitted to leave the facility during the day. All activities are conducted in accordance with BSA Youth Protection Guidelines. It is our intent to create an environment where the scouts have an opportunity to continue their advancement program and earn merit badges that may not be readily available elsewhere. It is NOT our intention to create a so-called "merit badge factory" that produces merit badges with minimal work required from the scouts. Scouts who come with that expectation will be disappointed at the end of the day. Merit badge courses are planned and presented by qualified adult counselors who are willing to take the time to share their knowledge with the scouts.
