Adults must enter their BSA Number, DOB, First and Last name as it appears on their BSA ID card. We will query BSA and get back an answer. At this point one of three things can happen:
1) Your registration is verified - you can continue using Meritbadge.info normally
2) You are not registered or your registration has lapsed - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
3) You are registered but your YPT has expired - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login

You have had at least two months to get yourself registered and complete YPT training. If you feel your validation is not working, send us an email with the four data items listed and we will validate your entry.

We have no control over what is on file at BSA. If everything matches your BSA ID card, there should be no issues. If not, your validation will fail.

Why are we doing this?
1. To provide higher security and validation of all adult users.
2. To clean up the mess we've accumulated via 15 years of poor user data entry.  

How will we do this? 

What should you do? 
Login to https://my.scouting.org/ and copy your BSA ID Number then update your profile on Meritbadge.info.  Let others in your unit know they should do the same.  We are giving you 2.5 months advanced notice to make this work.

Come to Camp Naish in Bonner Springs just outside of the Kansas City area on the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving for an introduction to Sea Scouts and the Sea Scout program! Check out our special programs to help you learn more about what we do and what you can do as a Sea Scout! Register with your unit for this great chance to camp and learn about Sea Scouts!



This camp is open to Scouts BSA, Exploring, Venturing, and Sea Scout units and members.
Description
Merit Badge Program (Scouts BSA members)


We will offer courses for six merit badges at Sea Camp: Search and
Rescue; Electricity; Electronics; Fire Safety, Pulp and Paper; and the
Eagle-required Emergency Preparedness. These badges are available
specifically for younger scouts who have not reached the age of 14, but any registered Scouts BSA member
can take the courses.


New Sea Scouts (age 14-20)

If you are new to Sea Scouting, the first rank you pursue is the
rank of Apprentice. Our two-day Apprentice Deep Dive course
covers most of the requirements and prepares you to become
an active Sea Scout. You will learn sea courtesies, radio
distress signals, state boating laws, and all that Sea Scouting
has to offer.


Experienced Sea Scouts (age 14-20)

If you are an experienced Sea Scout (or Venturer), come out for the
Sea Scout Marksmanship Program. This intensive study program
will amount to essentially two days of marksmanship safety and
practice. The program is tough and requires substantial discipline.
If you are ready for this program, we are ready for you!


Adults (age 21+)

We will have special opportunities for adults to advance their
scouting knowledge. Choose from the following programs:

  • Learn how Sea Scouts work and what adventures we have
  • Learn about scholarships for scouts
  • Eagle Board of Review walk-thru
  • Go to the range and shoot
  • Visit with other Sea Scout, Venturing, and Scouts BSA Leaders
    to share ideas, trade patches, and swap stories
  • Or… just relax! It’s camp!
