Adults must enter their BSA Number, DOB, First and Last name as it appears on their BSA ID card. We will query BSA and get back an answer. At this point one of three things can happen:
1) Your registration is verified - you can continue using Meritbadge.info normally
2) You are not registered or your registration has lapsed - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
3) You are registered but your YPT has expired - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login

You have had at least two months to get yourself registered and complete YPT training. If you feel your validation is not working, send us an email with the four data items listed and we will validate your entry.

We have no control over what is on file at BSA. If everything matches your BSA ID card, there should be no issues. If not, your validation will fail.

Why are we doing this?
1. To provide higher security and validation of all adult users.
2. To clean up the mess we've accumulated via 15 years of poor user data entry.

What should you do? 
Login to https://my.scouting.org/ and copy your BSA ID Number then update your profile on Meritbadge.info.  Let others in your unit know they should do the same.  We are giving you 2.5 months advanced notice to make this work.

Merit Badge Counselor Christopher DeClerk is teaching a SCUBA Class at Lone Star SCUBA and offering the SCUBA Merit Badge to any BSA Scout who would like to take it. PADI certification fees are payable to Lone Star SCUBA and the badge portion is a free add-on.



Part of the badge requirements are to get certified as an Open Water Diver. The fee shown is what anyone pays to take the SCUBA class. To register for the dive class or get details visit Lone Star Scuba at 2815 Alta Mere Drive, Fort Worth, TX 76116 or call (817) 377-DIVE (3483). There are three components to the class work:

1. Knowledge development: Read a book, complete knowledge review exercises, and watch a video on five different segments. Pass quizzes and final exam.

2. Confined water skills development: We will learn and practice the skills in two sessions a large pool the first weekend.

3. Open water checkout dives: Four dives at a lake. Currently scheduled for San Marcos, but may be local to DFW if water temperatures continue to rise during February.



The merit badge portion is free for anyone in the class and we will cover those requirements over the two weekends. One must have the Swimming Merit Badge. Just send me a note and we'll get it scheduled.



Anyone is welcome to join the class who meets the requirements. The badge is password protected to ensure only those who are able to can sign-up.
