If you are having trouble registering scouts, carefully read the information on the help tab.
If you send an email that does not include the information we need to help you, it wastes time and will get promptly deleted.
Test drive the new site (in progress) at New Meritbadge.Info.Leave comments at our Facebook page.

Notice!!! Meritbadge.Info will switch to the new site with BSA validation Friday morning March 13th.

If you wish to start using this site today, click here to launch meritbadge.info/mbn2

Adults must enter their BSA Number, DOB, First and Last name as it appears on their BSA ID card. We will query BSA and get back an answer. At this point one of three things can happen:
1) Your registration is verified - you can continue using Meritbadge.info normally
2) You are not registered or your registration has lapsed - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
3) You are registered but your YPT has expired - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login

You have had at least two months to get yourself registered and complete YPT training. If you feel your validation is not working, send us an email with the four data items listed and we will validate your entry.

We have no control over what is on file at BSA. If everything matches your BSA ID card, there should be no issues. If not, your validation will fail.

Why are we doing this?
1. To provide higher security and validation of all adult users.
2. To clean up the mess we've accumulated via 15 years of poor user data entry.

How will we do this?

What should you do?
Login to https://my.scouting.org/ and copy your BSA ID Number then update your profile on Meritbadge.info.  Let others in your unit know they should do the same.  We are giving you 2.5 months advanced notice to make this work.

The cooking merit badge can be broken down into 4 components:

 1) classroom component

 2) home cooking

 3) cooking on the trail

 4) car camping

By attending all three planned events (June 28, July 19, and August 15 to 17, 2014), the Scout will complete all requirements.  If the Scout has already completed some of the requirements, or can only make some of the days, he can attend only the day(s) that he needs to complete.

Each session must be registered individually.

Description

2. TRAIL COOKING (breakfast & dinner)

 Saturday, July 19, 2014

 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Dutch Gap, 411 Coxendale Road, Chester

 Cost:  $5

For this adventure, where we will be working on requirement 7, we will meet at the Henricus Park Visitors Center parking lot at Dutch Gap and prepare breakfast.  After everything is cleaned up, we will head out on a hike.  We will prepare dinner for our noon meal and then return to the parking lot about 2:00.

Requirements:  Scouts will send me their completed menus and budgets two weeks before the hike.  They are responsible for bringing all of the food they need to prepare their menus (breakfast and dinner).  All meals will be made from scratch.  NO MIXES OR STORE BOUGHT PREMADE FOOD.

Uniform:  Class B

Equipment:  Backpack, backpacking stove (if you do not have one, please let me know), cookware (mess kit), utensils, water bottle, all food.  Remember, this is trail cooking, keep it as light as you can.  You want food items that are either non-perishable, or provide for appropriate storage.  Everything will be carried in a back pack, as if we were on an overnight hike.  Optional items include camera, binoculars, fishing poles and bait.  Sunscreen, hats, and bug repellant are recommended.

ALLERGIES:  Please note any allergies or food considerations on a note included with your registration fee.
