Adults must enter their BSA Number, DOB, First and Last name as it appears on their BSA ID card. We will query BSA and get back an answer. At this point one of three things can happen:
1) Your registration is verified - you can continue using Meritbadge.info normally
2) You are not registered or your registration has lapsed - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
3) You are registered but your YPT has expired - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login

You have had at least two months to get yourself registered and complete YPT training. If you feel your validation is not working, send us an email with the four data items listed and we will validate your entry.

We have no control over what is on file at BSA. If everything matches your BSA ID card, there should be no issues. If not, your validation will fail.

Why are we doing this?
1. To provide higher security and validation of all adult users.
2. To clean up the mess we've accumulated via 15 years of poor user data entry.

Login to https://my.scouting.org/ and copy your BSA ID Number then update your profile on Meritbadge.info.  Let others in your unit know they should do the same.  We are giving you 2.5 months advanced notice to make this work.

Description
Blue Ridge Council Merit Badge University serves over 900 youth each year and happens in multiple locations in the Greenville, SC area.  We will need adult volunteers to stay with each merit badge to cover two deep leadership and to help with paperwork.  We are going to be providing an event patch this year and we will not be providing the merit badges as in years past.  We thank you for supporting this event and look forward to a successful year as we help youth on the trail to Eagle.

Unit Sign-up Instructions
Blue Ridge Council Units will be able to sign up on Saturday 11/29/14 8:00am.  Out-of-council units will be able to sign up starting Saturday 12/6/14 8:00am.



Every youth should have paper, pen and merit badge worksheets printed and ready to use.  Please see prequisites for each merit badge to see what will not be covered in the classes and for class ending times.  If the class goes past noon, each youth will need to bring a bag lunch.



Please check back often to make sure you have the latest details on the event as we will be adding prerequisites, merit badges and updated information through registration.



**Aviation Merit Badge -  MOVED TO 1/31/15.  Fee is $66 made out to Troop 9 and brought the day of the event, includes lunch and flight. In the event of bad weather, refunds for the flight costs we be refunded within two weeks.



** Robotics Merit Badge - Research ahead req. #2 & #7, document in a notebook and bring to class.  Prior to class visit http://www.usfirst.org/whatsgoingon for info on competitions to complete requirement #6.
Payment Instructions for the Unit
Payments can be made by mailing a check made out to "BSA" to Blue Ridge Council, Attn: MBU, One Park Plaza, Greenville, SC 29607.  Please include a printed roster of the merit badges selected by your youth and your contact information.  Credit Card payments can be made by calling 864-233-8363 or emailing Traci.Bridwell@Scouting.org.

All payments are due by 1/19/15 to the council office.
