Adults must enter their BSA Number, DOB, First and Last name as it appears on their BSA ID card. We will query BSA and get back an answer. At this point one of three things can happen:
1) Your registration is verified - you can continue using Meritbadge.info normally
2) You are not registered or your registration has lapsed - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
3) You are registered but your YPT has expired - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login

You have had at least two months to get yourself registered and complete YPT training. If you feel your validation is not working, send us an email with the four data items listed and we will validate your entry.

We have no control over what is on file at BSA. If everything matches your BSA ID card, there should be no issues. If not, your validation will fail.

Why are we doing this?
1. To provide higher security and validation of all adult users.
2. To clean up the mess we've accumulated via 15 years of poor user data entry.  

How will we do this? 

What should you do? 
Login to https://my.scouting.org/ and copy your BSA ID Number then update your profile on Meritbadge.info.  Let others in your unit know they should do the same.  We are giving you 2.5 months advanced notice to make this work.

Description
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Rockford Illinois Stake) has held merit badge colleges for many years.  We are reaching out to the area to share and collaborate with other Troops around the Wanchanagi District / Blackhawk Area Council.  Other districts/councils are welcome!

           

NO fees required, although donations will be accepted to go to a local charity / BSA.



ALL SCOUTS ARE TO BE DRESSED IN CLASS A UNIFORMS - and need to bring the following:  notebook, pen/pencil, pre-requisite material / proof of completion of various requirements (if noted), signed blue cards, and a sack lunch with beverage.  Beverage must be of a non-caffeinated nature.



*As a note* - The church does not allow tobacco, coffee/tea, alcohol or other substances, profanity or immodest dress on the property.  Please be respectful / reverent at the church facility!

Please register in advance of Merit Badge Mania! - the badges are first come, first serve.  Some badges are limited for attendees due to instructor constraints.  Most badges are 3.5 hours long, so the Scout can take two badges during the day.  Some badges required the full six hours.  Choose the top five badges.  We will try to arrange the schedule so that the Scout's first two choices can be completed; this cannot be guaranteed.  We are trying to balance the size of the class room with the number of Scouts interested in taking a badge.  Badges that take the full day are noted in the badge title.  If you do not pre-register, you can still show up on May 10, but classes may be limited.
