If you are having trouble registering scouts, carefully read the information on the help tab.
If you send an email that does not include the information we need to help you, it wastes time and will get promptly deleted.
Test drive the new site (in progress) at New Meritbadge.Info.Leave comments at our Facebook page.

Notice!!! Meritbadge.Info will switch to the new site with BSA validation Friday morning March 13th.

If you wish to start using this site today, click here to launch meritbadge.info/mbn2

Adults must enter their BSA Number, DOB, First and Last name as it appears on their BSA ID card. We will query BSA and get back an answer. At this point one of three things can happen:
1) Your registration is verified - you can continue using Meritbadge.info normally
2) You are not registered or your registration has lapsed - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
3) You are registered but your YPT has expired - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login

You have had at least two months to get yourself registered and complete YPT training. If you feel your validation is not working, send us an email with the four data items listed and we will validate your entry.

We have no control over what is on file at BSA. If everything matches your BSA ID card, there should be no issues. If not, your validation will fail.

Why are we doing this?
1. To provide higher security and validation of all adult users.
2. To clean up the mess we've accumulated via 15 years of poor user data entry.

How will we do this?

What should you do?
Login to https://my.scouting.org/ and copy your BSA ID Number then update your profile on Meritbadge.info.  Let others in your unit know they should do the same.  We are giving you 2.5 months advanced notice to make this work.

Counselor Information
Unit Sign-up Instructions
Registration is by Troop. Please have one adult leader designated as your unit coordinator for registering your scouts. Each scout may register for up to two classes.

Merit Badges offered are subject to change or cancelation, class minimums, and counselor availability. Scouts are registered on a first come, first serve basis. There are no waiting lists for any class offered. If a class is booked, please check the website frequently for availability. Additional classes and course selections may be added at any time based on availability of counselors.

Each scout will need to bring a brown bag lunch.  We will not be providing any food at this event.  We do have water fountains, it is incouraged that all scouts bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.   Please remember to check often for changes and updates.

Each Unit is required to provide 1 volunteer for every 7 scouts registering.  We will need the help this year in each of the classrooms.  Instructions for the volunteers will be availible upon arrival.

Food is only allowed in designated areas. Do not bring food into the classrooms.

Boy Scouts must be prepared for the Merit Badge College by reading the appropriate Merit Badge Book (available at the scout office) and the Merit Badge worksheet (available at www.meritbadge.com) before class. Any prerequisites must be completed before the college.

Merit badge blue cards are the responsibility of the individual troop.

All Scouts must wear “Class “A” Field Uniform” & the uniform must be visible!  Show your Scout Spirit!!

Please bring a blue card filled out with the appropriate information prior to the College.  Each Merit Badge a scout is taking requires a blue card.  Cards should be completely filled where appropriate, this includes all three parts.  This is the responsibility of the troops to provide these cards to the boys.

Attendance to the 2016 Alamance LDS Merit Badge College denotes acceptance to the rules and guidelines outlined in the General Information and the Code of Conduct, Rules, Policies, Consequences, and Acknowledgement sections.

Blue cards will be the resposibility of each scout to get the proper signatures and requirements signed off.  We will have volunteers in each class to help with this process.

We are limiting units to 3 scouts per class per session. This will allow diversity in the classes, and allow all units an equal opportunity at registering for classes.
Payment Instructions for the Unit
Fees for this event are for each scout to donate non-parishable food items.  These items will be later donated to a local food bank.
