This is a weekend-long comprehensive hands-on training course for Trail Life USA Youth and Adult leaders.
Based on 2 Timothy 2:2, “What you have learned from me…entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others.”
How is this training different from other Trail Leader Training, Equip64 ?
Equip Youth Trainung will follow the Trail Life booklet "EQUIPYOUTHTRAINING" which can be purchased from the Trail LIfe on line store.
The Adult Leader classes will focuse on the specifics of Troop safety and operations, providing valuable and practical
information that leaders can use in the day to day execution of their local program. Leaders that attended Equip64 will be some of the facilitators fro this class. If you attended Equip64 and want to teach one of these classes contact the event manager.
AHG classes will be lead by AHG trained leaders.
Where is Camp Agape, 335 Camp Agape Road , Benton Tennessee. Between the Hiwassee and Ocoee Rivers
There will be a shuttle provided from the Chattanooga Airport before and after the event (e-mail the event manager wdgoins@epbfi.com for details). If your GPS directs you up a gravel road up the mountain, turn around. You missed a turn.
What should I bring to this training? a positive attitidue and open mind.
Adult participants will be staying in bunk houses. No tents. Unless you have permission from the event director.
Participants will be responsible for their own toiletries, towel, pillow, blankets, sheets ,etc, Bring comfortable outdoor clothing (including a warm jacket, long pants, closed-toe shoes, rain gear), and flashlight. Please bring a satchel or backpack for carrying your water bottle, notepad, and other personal items from activity to activity.The most important thing to bring is an open mind and a spirit willing to learn. Many of the classes will be outdoor, so bring a camp chair.
Participation costs $75 and includes 4 hot meals, patch and an outdoor resource workbook.
