Adults must enter their BSA Number, DOB, First and Last name as it appears on their BSA ID card. We will query BSA and get back an answer. At this point one of three things can happen:
1) Your registration is verified - you can continue using Meritbadge.info normally
2) You are not registered or your registration has lapsed - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
3) You are registered but your YPT has expired - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login

You have had at least two months to get yourself registered and complete YPT training. If you feel your validation is not working, send us an email with the four data items listed and we will validate your entry.

We have no control over what is on file at BSA. If everything matches your BSA ID card, there should be no issues. If not, your validation will fail.

Why are we doing this?
1. To provide higher security and validation of all adult users.
2. To clean up the mess we've accumulated via 15 years of poor user data entry.

What should you do? 
Login to https://my.scouting.org/ and copy your BSA ID Number then update your profile on Meritbadge.info.  Let others in your unit know they should do the same.  We are giving you 2.5 months advanced notice to make this work.

This training  event (EQUIP YOUTH)  is primarilly for Trail Life USA and AHG YOUTH .

Participation is initially limited to 3  Navigators or Adventurers (trail life) and 3 Pioneers or Patriots (AHG)  from each troop. Total youth attendance is limited to 4 patrols of 8.  32 total. 

An adult backpacking class is avaliable for Trail Life or AHG adult leaders that want to sharpen their backpacking skills. You must bring your own gear. A packing list will be sent to you later. Bear country rulles apply. 

Also Equip64 adult Classes are open to all regestered Trail Life USA or AHG leaders if a minimum of 8 leaders sign up.  This training is follow up training to Equip 64 which you took at Camp Aiken. But if you did not take the Equip 64 class at Aiken, come anyway.

Adults pay $75  for this event, Includes 4 meals , bunk house accomidations, outdoor skills notebook . But if you can only come for Saturday classes you only pay for your food and course materials. $8 breakfast, $9 lunch,$10 Dinner.  

If you are come for the full week end,and you want to sleep in your own tent , you will pay a reduced fee, but this is bear country. Tents that smell like food will not be allowed. Strict bear country procedures must be followed or you will be told to leave. 

Early spring is when bears are most active. This camp borders the Cherokee National Forrest. Bears are common in April. Hand Guns are not permitted even with a current Carry Purmit.  

Proof of up to date Youth Protection Training, Current Medical Form, and Trail Life USA or AHG Registration. Contact the Event manager if you are not signed up for Trail Life USA or AHG. We can register you  at check in. 
Description

This  is a weekend-long comprehensive hands-on training course for Trail Life USA Youth and Adult leaders. 



Based on 2 Timothy 2:2, “What you have learned from me…entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others.”



How is this training different from other Trail Leader Training, Equip64 ?



Equip Youth Trainung will follow the Trail Life booklet "EQUIPYOUTHTRAINING" which can be purchased from the Trail LIfe on line store. 

The Adult Leader classes will  focuse on the specifics of Troop safety and operations, providing valuable and practical

information that leaders can use in the day to day execution of their local program. Leaders that attended Equip64 will be some of the facilitators fro this class. If you attended Equip64 and want to teach one of these classes contact the event manager. 

AHG classes will be lead by AHG trained leaders.



 



 



Where is Camp Agape, 335 Camp Agape Road , Benton Tennessee. Between the Hiwassee and Ocoee Rivers



There will be a shuttle provided from the Chattanooga  Airport  before and after the event (e-mail the event manager wdgoins@epbfi.com for details). If your GPS directs you up a gravel road up the mountain, turn around. You missed a turn. 



What should I bring to this training? a positive attitidue and open mind. 



Adult participants will be staying in bunk houses. No tents. Unless you have permission from the event director.



Participants will be responsible for their own toiletries, towel, pillow, blankets, sheets ,etc, Bring comfortable outdoor clothing (including a warm jacket, long pants, closed-toe shoes, rain gear), and flashlight. Please bring a satchel or backpack for carrying your water bottle, notepad, and other personal items from activity to activity.The most important thing to bring  is an open mind and a spirit willing to learn. Many of the classes will be outdoor, so bring a camp chair.



Participation costs $75 and includes 4 hot meals, patch and an outdoor resource workbook.
