Adults must enter their BSA Number, DOB, First and Last name as it appears on their BSA ID card. We will query BSA and get back an answer. At this point one of three things can happen:
1) Your registration is verified - you can continue using Meritbadge.info normally
2) You are not registered or your registration has lapsed - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
3) You are registered but your YPT has expired - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login

You have had at least two months to get yourself registered and complete YPT training. If you feel your validation is not working, send us an email with the four data items listed and we will validate your entry.

We have no control over what is on file at BSA. If everything matches your BSA ID card, there should be no issues. If not, your validation will fail.

Why are we doing this?
1. To provide higher security and validation of all adult users.
2. To clean up the mess we've accumulated via 15 years of poor user data entry.

What should you do? 
Login to https://my.scouting.org/ and copy your BSA ID Number then update your profile on Meritbadge.info.  Let others in your unit know they should do the same.  We are giving you 2.5 months advanced notice to make this work.

The Ashburn Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is sponsoring the 8th Annual Ashburn Stake Merit Badge Pow Wow and Leader Training events on March 12, 2016. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) has been a member of the Boy Scouts of America for over 100 years. We sponsor these events to train the Asburn Stake Scouts and leaders (and Scouts and leaders from other units) to help promote the goals and values of Scouting. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has integrated the Scouting goals and values into the program for our young men called the Aaronic Priesthood program. Scouting is a significant part of our activities program for our young men.
Description
What:  Fulfilling our Duty to God Through Scouting: 8th Annual LDS Merit Badge Pow Wow and Leader Training

When: Saturday, 12 March 2016 from 8:15am to 1:45pm.  Check-in starts at 7:30 am.

Where (Merit Badges): LDS Stake Center, 21015 Claiborne Parkway, Ashburn, VA 20147.

Where (Leader Training): Tall Cedars LDS Building, 42530 Tall Cedars Pkwy, South Riding, VA 20152.

Who should attend: Open to all registered Scout Leaders (Troops, Teams and Crews).  LDS Ashburn Stake Units have priority registration from 24 January to 20 February. Open registration for all units is from 21 February 2016 to 5 March 2016.

Uniform: BSA Class A.

1. Sign up for the "Scout Committee Training" by selecting the "BOS Trrop Cmt Essentials" activity

2. Sign up for the "Achieving the Purposes of the Aaronic Priesthood Through Scouting (LDS Young Men’s Presidencies)" by selecting the "REL Scouting in the LDS Church" activity.

3. The passward is 8thLDSLeaderTraining



Instructions for signing up for Adult Leadership activities:

1. For Registration go to www.meritbadge.info and click on the "EVENTS" button, then scroll to 3/12/2016 to see “8th Annual Ashburn Stake (LDS) Merit Badge Leader Training”, Click on “Sign Up” button in right column.  You must register as a new user if you are not currently registered with meritbadge.info already. Once you are signed in, the website will return you to the upcoming events page. You will need to reselect the event by selecting the "Sign up" button associated with the event. The website will then take you to the 8th Annual LDS Merit Badge  Leader Training even sign up page.

2. Note: the registration process will require you to register one adult. That person can be any of the adults that are registering for the training. Follow the instructions on the Participant Registration Page and click on the “Select one or more adults to attend” button.

3. Enter the Invitation Password to register (which is 8thLDSLeaderTraining):  The field is in the box near the top of the page (see email to unit leader or contact Blake Christie at 703-955-2534 or blake.christie@noblis.org for the password). The password for the leader training is different than the Pow Wow.

4. Click on “enter” after entering the invitation code to begin adding attendees.

5. Registration is completed at the unit level by unit leaders. The unit leader first registers the unit, then adds unit attendees (one or more).
