All troops must have a least one adult on site at all times.  The troop's on site adult is responsible for monitoring their scouts.  In addition,the administration of medication and any additional assistance which may be required is the responsibility of the troop leadership.

Scouts - Lunch will be provided to all registered Scouts as it's included in the $25 fee.  Please let us know in advance if there are special dietary restrictions.  

     
Adults - We offer lunch to adults for $10.  To register ahead of time, you can follow the same process as registering a Scout for a class, however, select the Session - Lunch.  The system will add you to our lunch list and $10 fee.

Contest

3 different ways to win: 

    1 - The troop with the most scouts in attendance

    2 - The troop that traveled the farthest

    3 - The scout with the most merit badges.  Scouts need to bring their sash and check in at the table marked contest

Reminder:  It is strongly recommended that each Scout obtain and read the BSA merit badge pamphlet for their badge in its entirety prior to coming to class and be ready to discuss it.  Merit badge pamphlets are available at local Scout Shops and at www.scoutstuff.org.

  • Requirement 1 - MUST have earned CYBER CHIP prior to class

  • Complete an electrical home safety inspection of your home, using the checklist found in this pamphlet

  • Complete requirement 1

  • Will not complete all merit badge requirements in class.


Environmental Science *

  • Requirements 1, 2 & 6.  Be prepared to discuss these requirements.

  • Will not complete all merit badge requirements in class.


Family Life *

  • Will not complete all merit badge requirements in class.


Fingerprinting

  • Complete class work to earn merit badge


First Aid *

  • Scout MUST have completed first aid requirements through 1st class. No exceptions. 

  • Read the merit badge book.

  • Bring their personal first aid kit.


Law

Leatherwork

  • No Prerequisites


Music

  • Bring proof of completion of requirement 3

  • Completion of 4c before class is recommended


Personal Management *

  • Bring clothes suitable for working in a welding shop.  Long sleeve shirt preferred.  NO POLYESTER OR FLANNEL.  NO FLIP-FLOPS, SANDALS, CROCS OR SIMILAR SHOES.

Payment:




  • Checks:  Make payable to Troop 457. Please mail one check for your troop and include the names of the scouts attending on a separate list with the check. Please mail check to Rodger Plumb, 3485 Millikan Cove, Bartlett, TN 38133-3869

  • The registration fee is non-refundable. The amount paid will be forfeited if the troop or Scout does not attend. However, troops may substitute scouts as long as the total number and the Merit Badge doesn’t change.




  • Paypal:  The link is set up as a "Donation" button.  Enter the dollar amount of the payment and proceed with checkout.  Please enter your Troop number in the comment field.  Also provide the scout name for individual registrations or charter organization for Troop Registrations. Please include the names of the scouts attending in a separate email to troop457money.sfa@gmail.com.
