Adults must enter their BSA Number, DOB, First and Last name as it appears on their BSA ID card. We will query BSA and get back an answer. At this point one of three things can happen:
1) Your registration is verified - you can continue using Meritbadge.info normally
2) You are not registered or your registration has lapsed - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
3) You are registered but your YPT has expired - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login

You have had at least two months to get yourself registered and complete YPT training. If you feel your validation is not working, send us an email with the four data items listed and we will validate your entry.

We have no control over what is on file at BSA. If everything matches your BSA ID card, there should be no issues. If not, your validation will fail.

Why are we doing this?
1. To provide higher security and validation of all adult users.
2. To clean up the mess we've accumulated via 15 years of poor user data entry.  

How will we do this? 

What should you do? 
Login to https://my.scouting.org/ and copy your BSA ID Number then update your profile on Meritbadge.info.  Let others in your unit know they should do the same.  We are giving you 2.5 months advanced notice to make this work.

This Merit Badge Clinic is being hosted by Boy Scout Troop 370 and St. James United Methodist Church.

We are guests of St. James United Methodist Church. Please remember a Scout is clean and reverent, please no littering and be respectful of St. James property.. St. James Methodist will be hosting other activities on Saturday and will be holding services on Sunday.


Description

Please register in advance. Please no walk ins!



We will begin check in at 8:00 am and will assemble at 8:30 for welcome and opening ceremony. The merit badge counselors will take the Scouts from the opening assembly to their respective classes.

If you are not a member of Troop 370 you need to bring a Blue Card signed by your Scoutmaster for your course.

If you are with Troop 370 you do not need a Blue Card




Merit Badges:

All courses will last all day. Merit badges offerings may be subject to change based on attendance and availability of merit badge counselors. Merit badge counselors will need a student e-mail and phone information for coordination. Please provide that information when registering. Cost will be $15 There may be additional costs depending on which class you take. Please check with Merit Badge Counselor for any additional cost.

Once you are registered for the class please click on the Merit Badge Counselor's name to see if there are any instructions about the class.


Uniform:



The BSA Class A is the uniform of the day. Scouts that have merit badge sashes are encouraged to wear them.



Food:

Snacks and drinks can be purchased at the event.

Lunch will be included in registration fee. A barbecue lunch will be served at noon. Lunch will consist of a barbecue sandwich, chips and a drink.



Merit Badge Clinic Schedule

7:30  am Set-up at the Church

8:00  am Registration Opens

8:30  am Open Assembly (Everyone in Fellowship Hall)

9:00  am Classes Start

12:00 pm Lunch Break (Fellowship Hall)

12:45 pm Break Over

3:00  pm Clinic Over and Clean UP



Be sure your attendance is recorded and your blue card has been signed before leaving class.



Additional Information for Each Class:

Your Merit Badge Counselor may post additional information about your class under his name which is listed to the right of your class. Click on his name and it will take you to any additional information that the Merit Badge Counselor may wish you to know.


 


Counselor Information
Make sure that all blue cards are signed off for the completed items prior to dismissing

the class. Please update the class roster at the end of class with the results for each scout in the class. Record attendance and which requirements were completed and return to Merit Badge Clinic Coordinator. Troop 370 scouts do not need Blue Cards; attendance form will be used for those scouts.

All Patricipants will assemble in Fellowship Hall during Opening Ceremony and Merit Badge Counselors will take scouts to their class.

Counselors need to wear Class A uniforms if they own them.
Unit Sign-up Instructions
Please have an individual for your unit coordinate sign up and be responsible for payment to Troop 370.



Rules for Participation:



1. Please provide your two deep leadership and any other leadership you need for your troop. This will help us with crowd control, as well as insure quality of results at the clinic.

2. Please make sure your scouts have their signed blue cards.

3. Scouts must behave in a Scout-like manner.

Note: The Unit adults are responsible for the scouts who attend.



Expectation:

 

Scouts are strongly encouraged to read the Merit Badge Pamphlet and finish all pre-requisites before attending the clinic. Also the scouts should bring any needed materials including a merit badge worksheet, pen or pencil and scout book if needed



 
Payment Instructions for the Unit
Please Pay By Check and make checks payable to Troop 370.

Cost will be $15 for Merit Badge Class

Please bring payment to the clinic. There is no need to pre-pay.

Please do not mail check to the church.

There may be additional charges for some classes to pay for food or materials. Please check the class when registering to see if there are additional costs.

Directions to St. James



Directions from I-85, traveling North:



Take Exit #89. Follow signs to North Druid Hills Road North and Oglethorpe University. After you cross Buford Highway, North Druid Hills divides. Stay left (street becomes Roxboro Road). Before you reach the Target/Kinko's/FedEx stores), Roxboro Road turns right at the light. Proceed and cross over Peachtree Road, where it will become Peachtree-Dunwoody Road. The church is 1.5 miles further on Peachtree Dunwoody at the first traffic light. Turn left at the light onto Loridans Drive. Church parking lot is on right.

 



Directions from I-285, traveling East:



Exit at Glenridge Connector (Exit 26). At the end of the ramp, turn right and follow signs to Peachtree-Dunwoody. Turn right onto Peachtree-Dunwoody. Proceed approximately 2.5 miles and St. James will be at the corner of Peachtree-Dunwoody and Loridans Drive. Enter the parking lot from Loridans Drive.

 



Directions from I-285, traveling West:



Exit at the Peachtree-Dunwoody exit (Exit 28). At the bottom of the ramp, take a left and stay on Peachtree Dunwoody for about 3.5 miles. St. James will be at the corner of Peachtree-Dunwoody and Loridans Drive. Enter the parking lot from Loridans Drive.

 



Directions from Georgia 400, traveling South:



Exit at the Glenridge Connector and follow the signs to Peachtree-Dunwoody. Turn right onto Peachtree-Dunwoody. Proceed approximately 2.5 miles and St. James will be at the corner of Peachtree-Dunwoody and Loridans Drive. Enter the parking lot from Loridans Drive.

Transportation:



The troop Leaders must coordinate arrival and departure time for transportation. Troops need to make certain that they have adequate transportation for their Scouts. Please advise your parents NOT to drop or pick up scouts from the church. ALL transportation TO and FROM The Merit Badge Day must be arranged within your troop. Encourage everyone to carpool. Troops may not leave Scouts by themselves to be picked up by parents at a later time. We will not render sitting services.
