If you are having trouble registering scouts, carefully read the information on the help tab.
If you send an email that does not include the information we need to help you, it wastes time and will get promptly deleted.
Test drive the new site (in progress) at New Meritbadge.Info.Leave comments at our Facebook page.

Notice!!! Meritbadge.Info will switch to the new site with BSA validation Friday morning March 13th.

If you wish to start using this site today, click here to launch meritbadge.info/mbn2

Adults must enter their BSA Number, DOB, First and Last name as it appears on their BSA ID card. We will query BSA and get back an answer. At this point one of three things can happen:
1) Your registration is verified - you can continue using Meritbadge.info normally
2) You are not registered or your registration has lapsed - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
3) You are registered but your YPT has expired - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login

You have had at least two months to get yourself registered and complete YPT training. If you feel your validation is not working, send us an email with the four data items listed and we will validate your entry.

We have no control over what is on file at BSA. If everything matches your BSA ID card, there should be no issues. If not, your validation will fail.

Why are we doing this?
1. To provide higher security and validation of all adult users.
2. To clean up the mess we've accumulated via 15 years of poor user data entry.

How will we do this?

What should you do?
Login to https://my.scouting.org/ and copy your BSA ID Number then update your profile on Meritbadge.info.  Let others in your unit know they should do the same.  We are giving you 2.5 months advanced notice to make this work.

Description

This Merit Badge Pow Wow Is for all registered Boy Scouts, Varsity Scouts, and Venture Scouts working on merit badges. Participants may select up to two merit badges.  PLEASE make sure that you do NOT schedule your two merit badges classes during the same time.

There are two (2) merit badges (Personal Management and Automotive Maintenance) that will last the entire time of the Pow Wow.  Should you choose to take Personal Management or Automotive Maintenance it will be the only merit badge you will take during the Pow Wow.

An email address IS required to register. Upon registering, each scout should access a worksheet for each merit badge for which he is enrolled. These can be found at http://usscouts.org/netresources/meritbadge.asp.

The scout will be responsible for completing the necessary requirements that need to be completed PRIOR to the Pow Wow.  This information is noted on the individual merit badge registration webpages.  The worksheet explains what the scout should do to complete each requirement.

The scout should also obtain the most recent corresponding merit badge pamphlet to begin studying and working on the necessary requirements. Merit badge pamphlets can be obtained at the BSA Scout Store in Manchester, or at other authorized BSA distributors (ie. www.scoutstuff.org).

In accordance with the advancement policy on group merit badge instruction, each scout will pass-off his requirements individually. Attendance alone is not enough to earn a merit badge. All requirements must be completed for the scout to receive credit. Merit badges will require work outside of the Pow Wow.  Scouts are responsible for bringing a merit badge application form with them for each merit badge they are registered for.  An online merit badge application can be found at: http://meritbadge.org/wiki/index.php/Merit_Badge_Application.  Upon completion of all the requirements the merit badge counselor will sign the application form for each scout.  Scouts will be responsible for returning their merit badge application(s) to their respective scout leader (Scoutmaster, Committee Chair, etc.) for submission to their respective council.

Counselor Information
Each counselor will receive merit badge application cards from the participants at the beginning of their class. These cards should already be filled out by the scout. Counselors will keep a roster of the participants, marking each requirement off as the individual participants complete them. Following the last class of the Pow Wow, counselors will sign the application cards for all completed merit badge and indicate on the merit badge application card which requirements were completed for participants that did not complete the merit badge. All application cards should be returned to the scouts at the end of each class.
Unit Sign-up Instructions
