Adults must enter their BSA Number, DOB, First and Last name as it appears on their BSA ID card. We will query BSA and get back an answer. At this point one of three things can happen:
1) Your registration is verified - you can continue using Meritbadge.info normally
2) You are not registered or your registration has lapsed - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
3) You are registered but your YPT has expired - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
You have had at least two months to get yourself registered and complete YPT training. If you feel your validation is not working, send us an email with the four data items listed and we will validate your entry.
We have no control over what is on file at BSA. If everything matches your BSA ID card, there should be no issues. If not, your validation will fail.
Why are we doing this?
1. To provide higher security and validation of all adult users.
2. To clean up the mess we've accumulated via 15 years of poor user data entry.

Login to https://my.scouting.org/ and copy your BSA ID Number then update your profile on Meritbadge.info. Let others in your unit know they should do the same. We are giving you 2.5 months advanced notice to make this work.

This event is hosted by ODU ACS Chemistry Club and is promoted via www.meritbadge.info.
DO NOT contact ODU in regards to registering for this merit badge as they will not be able to assist with registration. Due to safety reasons, class is limited to 60 scouts and no walk-ups will be allowed.
This will be a follow-up after the Chemistry MB. This will be "By Invitation Only" to those attending the Chemistry MB on the same day.

Covering the Scholarship Merit Badge. READ THIS CAREFULLY!!
While a merit badge counselor cannot require the use of third party workbooks, all interested parties can visit here:
Scouts will need to complete 1a or 1b, 3, 4a or 4b, 5a or 5b, bring letters as required. Scouts attending the Chemistry MB can use Requirement 2b to ask questions to the professors answering questions at the end of the event. This will be turned in to Mr. Colby along with the blue card at the beginning of class. Make sure your name is on all items and is legible.
REGISTRATION:Pre-registration is REQUIRED. Open enrollment will begin on February 8th and will end on March 11th, or when there are 60 scouts registered. Scouts in the Chemistry MB will have preference to this MB. This will be opened to any scout the week of Marth 7th to March 11th. UNIFORM: The Class "B" uniform is the uniform for the day.CODE OF CONDUCT:The Scout Oath, the Law, and the Outdoor Code shall be the code of the Merit Badge Day. A Scout whose conduct is not consistent with the code will be directed to leave immediately. CLEAN UP:The Scout is clean. Future offerings of the Merit Badge Day will largely depend on
how neat we leave the place.

BLUE CARDS / Merit Badge Books.......
All Scouts must bring to class a Blue Card SIGNED by their Scoutmaster. Notes, any letters (requirement #3) and blue card will be turned in together at the beginning of the event. Make sure your name is on all items and that it is legible.
The Blue Card will be updated with tasks completed in class and returned to Scout at the end of the merit badge class. It is the responsibility of the Scout to request and obtain his Blue Card before leaving. Mr. Colby will hold any blue cards that are not completed and scouts will need to arrange another time to complete the merit badge.

In order to register for this class, you will need to register with the website. Please include your contact information such as phone number and email address in case we need to contact the scout in case of changes. YOU WILL NEED TO INCLUDE YOUR SCOUTS TROOP NUMBER. IF YOU FAIL TO INCLUDE THE TROOP NUMBER WHEN YOU REGISTER, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REGISTER SO PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.
CHECK IN: All blue cards will be turned in when the scout checks in.
CHECK OUT: Blue cards will be given out upon completion of the merit badge class. Blue cards not issued out will not be mailed. Scouts are responsible for the collection of their blue cards upon completion of the class.
