Notice!!! Meritbadge.Info will switch to the new site with BSA validation Friday morning March 13th.
If you wish to start using this site today, click here to launch meritbadge.info/mbn2
Adults must enter their BSA Number, DOB, First and Last name as it appears on their BSA ID card. We will query BSA and get back an answer. At this point one of three things can happen:
1) Your registration is verified - you can continue using Meritbadge.info normally
2) You are not registered or your registration has lapsed - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
3) You are registered but your YPT has expired - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
You have had at least two months to get yourself registered and complete YPT training. If you feel your validation is not working, send us an email with the four data items listed and we will validate your entry.
We have no control over what is on file at BSA. If everything matches your BSA ID card, there should be no issues. If not, your validation will fail.
Why are we doing this?
1. To provide higher security and validation of all adult users.
2. To clean up the mess we've accumulated via 15 years of poor user data entry.
How will we do this?
What should you do?
Login to https://my.scouting.org/ and copy your BSA ID Number then update your profile on Meritbadge.info. Let others in your unit know they should do the same. We are giving you 2.5 months advanced notice to make this work.

Sponsor Information |
Mid-America Council http://www.mac-bsa.org/ |
Description |
Merit Badge college on the campus of Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, Iowa, with over 400 scouts attending. $15 per boy, $10 per adult leader.
If there are entries in the Prerequisites field, these will not be completed on the day of the college. If a scout completes these prior to the college, he should bring evidence of completion to his class to receive credit from the college merit badge counselor. If they are not completed prior to the college, the scout will need to complete the merit badge with another counselor. In some cases, the instructor specifically requests that a prereq be brought to class.
Registration opens at 7:30 and first classes start promptly at 8. Lunch is 11 to 12. |

Please review the "Update Class Roster" demo on the Help tab at mertitbadge.info
|
Unit Sign-up Instructions |
Register all (potentially) attending adult leaders at meritbadge.info. You will need an email address, your council (use Mid-America not Mid America if that is your council), your district, your unit type and number, your BSA ID number and the date of your most recent Youth Protection training in addition to the usual information.
Any registered adult can register, update, or delete youth from their associated unit. In addition to class size, some badges have a minimum age.
Be sure that attending adults are registered in the Adult Volunteer class - we would hate to run out of food! The fee per adult is $10.. The system is incorrectly calculating it as $25 ($10 +$15), and we are working on getting it fixed, but you only owe $10 per adult.

Payment Instructions for the Unit |
Payment must be received no later than mail delivery on Oct. 5th. One check per unit is preferred. Checks should be made payable to Mid-America Council, BSA and addressed to:
