Adults must enter their BSA Number, DOB, First and Last name as it appears on their BSA ID card. We will query BSA and get back an answer. At this point one of three things can happen:
1) Your registration is verified - you can continue using Meritbadge.info normally
2) You are not registered or your registration has lapsed - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
3) You are registered but your YPT has expired - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login

You have had at least two months to get yourself registered and complete YPT training. If you feel your validation is not working, send us an email with the four data items listed and we will validate your entry.

We have no control over what is on file at BSA. If everything matches your BSA ID card, there should be no issues. If not, your validation will fail.

Why are we doing this?
1. To provide higher security and validation of all adult users.
2. To clean up the mess we've accumulated via 15 years of poor user data entry.  

How will we do this? 

What should you do? 
Login to https://my.scouting.org/ and copy your BSA ID Number then update your profile on Meritbadge.info.  Let others in your unit know they should do the same.  We are giving you 2.5 months advanced notice to make this work.

Merit Badge University sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Frisco Texas Stake. OPEN TO ALL TROOPS, ALL SCOUTS. Please have your Scoutmaster register the boys via this site. Merit badge completion reports will be sent to the Scoutmaster who registers each boy.

The event runs 8:00am - 4:00pm




CHECK IN: 8:00 am - 9:00am, in the gym. If you pre-registered and have your schedule, skip check-in.

PIZZA TICKETS: 8:00 am - 9:00am, in the gym. Scouts have three options for lunch. (A) In the morning the Scout can pay $5 cash and get a ticket for a pizza/drink to be provided in the gym at lunch time. Pizza tickets will be sold only until 9:00am. (B) There is a 7-Eleven across the street, but traffic is iffy and time is short. (C) The Scout can bring his own lunch.

SESSION 1:  9:00 am - 12:00 noon, rooms to be marked on doors.

LUNCH: 12:00 noon - 12:30 pm. Pizza tickets can be redeemed in the gym.

SESSION 2: 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm, rooms to be marked on doors.

CLEANUP: 3:30 pm - 4:00 pm. All Scouts are expected to help clean up the church, ready for Sunday meetings.



Scouts can choose up to 2 merit badges. Not all Merit Badge requirements will be completed during the Merit Badge University. Please print the worksheet from meritbadge.org and bring it to class. It is important that each Scout pre-read the worksheet and come prepared to participate in class. In most cases post-work (after the MBU) will be required to complete the merit badge, so a partial will be recorded.

Pre-register the boys now so you get better choice of classes. REMEMBER: If you pre-register, you can get confirmation of each Scout's classes in advance. No need to check-in at the event. Just go to the Pizza Ticket line or straight to the marked classroom for Session 1.



First: REGISTER THE TROOP LEADER


Each Troop needs to assign a Troop registrar who will create a personal account at meritbadge.info.  The Troop registrar will be responsible for signing up all of the boys in their Troop.



1.click on the main webpage: http://meritbadge.info

2.click “Enter Registration System”

3.click on this event

4.Click “Register New User” just below the “Sign on” link.

Next: REGISTER THE BOYS FOR EACH SESSION



1.Logout, and then login (sign on) again.

2.Click the “Sign Up” link in the rightmost column of our event.

3.You should now be on the “Participant Registration” page. (If not, click on the “Registration” link, then select our event in the dropdown list.)

4.Enter the scout’s first and last name, age, phone #, parents email address (or the scoutmasters email address.

5.Select the session time first, then select the available class for that particular session time (very important to select the “Session Time” first, because the list of available merit badges is based on what Session is selected).

6.Then click the “Add” link.



Repeat for each scout. Don’t select more than one class at the same time period per scout.



You may change classes after you have selected them, if you change your mind, but please avoid making any changes the last week.



If you find that you cannot attend, please return to the site and remove the registered classes.



 
Payment Instructions for the Unit
We don't anticipate any costs except the optional $5 pizza lunch which Scouts will pay in cash in the morning.
