2015 Daniel Morgan Aquatics Camporee

All Daniel Morgan district troops are welcome to attend the 2015 Aquatics Camporee at USC Upstate.
Troop 1 will be coordinating the aquatics instruction again this year, building on the success of the 2014 event.
What you need to know:
- Swimming merit badge will be taught using the new 2015 requirements
- Scouts using the pool must complete the BSA swim test Friday evening. Troops should sign up for a swim test time at check-in. Swim test is offered from 5:30 - 7:3
- Scouts not passing the BSA swim test will not be eligible to participate in the pool section of the merit badge. They may take the classroom section and receive a partial badge completion.
- All scouts are expected to be swimmers. The pool sessions are not intended to be “learn to swim” classes.
- Swimming will be offered Saturday morning and Lifesaving will be offered Saturday afternoon. Swimming requirements for Second & First Class ranks will be offered
- Only Scouts who have previously earned the Swimming MB are eligible to take the Lifesaving MB. (A scout may not take both badges during this event.
- Class sizes are limited. Preference will be given to Daniel Morgan District Units until May 22nd. (Outside district units may provisionally register earlier - email Coby.)
- This Camporee will be a “Leave No Trace” event. Pack out what you brought in – including trash.
- No campfires permitted.
